We strongly recommend that consumers read this chapter, followed by our detailed section on how DEVPN offers solutions that effectively address the real challenges often claimed by no-log policies.

Does DEVPN keep logs?

Yes, every VPN provider keeps logs, whether they admit it or not. It is technically impossible to operate a VPN service without maintaining some logs, as they are essential for running a technical network.

DEVPN maintains a minimal log policy rather than a 'no-log' policy. We track data such as active sessions, connection times, and session duration to protect our ecosystem and user accounts from abuse. This is similar to how our AI monitors users to guard against anti-tracking and malware.

Unlike many other VPN providers, we explicitly do not collect sensitive information such as physical user locations, browsing history, downloaded file history, or services used by our customers.

DEVPN log flushing

Beyond our extensive safety measures, which exceed market standards, DEVPN adds another layer of security with a protocol that flushes logs at random intervals across all terminated VPN connections.

Note that this does not mean all data is gone. To a degree, DEVPN still maintains general aggregate user data, which is monitored across VPN nodes to track overall usage for our investors. However, this means DEVPN can no longer distinguish between individual users in terms of session-specific details.

This additional flush ensures that, even in the highly unlikely event of a security breach, DEVPN does not leave residual information in memory or storage hardware. It also reduces the potential damage if our hardware is ever physically seized or stolen.

Commercial customer policy

DEVPN services are explicitly intended to be sold to individuals aged 18 or older.

This does not mean our services are unsuitable for minors. On the contrary, products like our One Home or One Travel provide excellent overall protection for all consumers, including their children.

While offering family-friendly solutions, DEVPN explicitly avoids selling services directly to minors to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in various jurisdictions.

With family customers in mind, DEVPN offers solutions like DEVPN One Go with parental controls, allowing parents to establish their own 'home rules' based on their personal beliefs and their children’s needs. This provides the flexibility to adjust rules freely according to age and individual requirements.
